About the role
You will own the pipelines that move market-moving news from source to subscriber in under 50 milliseconds. That means designing ingestion for SEC filings, wire services, and exchange notices, and keeping the whole path observable and replayable.
What you'll do
- Lead the design of our low-latency ingestion pipelines, from edge scrapers to the WebSocket fan-out.
- Set the technical direction for a small team of data engineers.
- Own per-event telemetry: every headline should be traceable from source to verdict.
- Work with Quant Research to keep training corpora clean and reproducible.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years building data-intensive systems in production.
- Deep comfort with Postgres and streaming architectures.
- You measure things before and after you change them.
- Experience with financial market data is a plus, not a must.
