About the role
You will work on the Verdict Engine, our in-house model that scores every headline for actionability and sentiment in a single pass. Weekly retrains, millisecond inference, real money downstream.
What you'll do
- Own parts of the training pipeline: labelling on realized returns, rolling-window retrains, calibration.
- Squeeze inference latency without giving up accuracy.
- Build evaluation harnesses that catch regressions before the market does.
What we're looking for
- Production ML experience — you have shipped and maintained a model, not just trained one.
- Solid Python and a working knowledge of model serving.
- Interest in financial markets; experience with NLP a plus.
