Cookies set by a party other than the site owner are called "third-party cookies," and they enable third-party features or functionality, such as analytics and live chat.
We also use similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, which serve comparable purposes and are described below.
2. Why we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for a few reasons:
- To run the Services. Some cookies are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to secure your account. Without them the Services cannot function.
- To remember your preferences. We store choices such as your light or dark theme and sidebar layout so the Services behave the way you left them.
- To understand and improve usage. Analytics help us see, in aggregate and de-identified form, how the Services are used so we can improve them.
- To provide support. Our live-chat tool uses a cookie so your support conversation can continue across visits.

4. Other local storage
In addition to cookies, we store a small amount of information in your browser's local storage to remember your preferences. This information stays on your device and is not sent to our servers as a cookie:
- theme: remembers your light or dark mode preference.
- forecite.sidebar.*: remembers your dashboard sidebar width and whether it is collapsed.
- Chatwoot: used by our self-hosted support-chat tool to keep your conversation state.
You can clear local storage at any time from your browser settings.
5. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on the Services. We use these providers and do not control the cookies they set. Please review each provider's own policy for details:
- Google Analytics: measures aggregate usage of the Services. See Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out across sites using Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Our live support chat (Chatwoot) is self-hosted on our own infrastructure rather than provided by a third-party vendor. The cookie it sets is listed in the table above and its handling is governed by our Privacy Policy.
6. How to control cookies
You can control and manage cookies in several ways. Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Please note that if you block or delete strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Services, including signing in, may stop working.
